- SPI Wins Contract for OK Desal Project
SPI was awarded a contract in collaboration with the Oklahoma City based engineering firm Guernsey to study the feasibility of treating brackish groundwater to provide an additional 3 mgd or more of potable water to the Central Oklahoma Water Resources Authority (COWRA) and their customers. - View Full News
- SPI Part of Winning Project - AZ Water Association Project of the year
Rayne, Hydro Engineering Solutions, LLC, Separation Processes, Inc., and the University of Arizona received the prestigious AZ Water Association Project Of the Year Award in 2011. The award recognized Rayne of Phoenix for its work on a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Facility for Centralized Water Softening Regeneration. - View Full News
- West Basin Receives NWRI Award for Excellence for Desalination Demo Facility
West Basin Municipal Water District of Carson, California, was the fourth recipient of the “NWRI Award of Excellence” for its groundbreaking contribution to ocean water desalination research and dedicated efforts to create a new, locally controlled sustainable water supply.
NWRI established the Award of Excellence in 2000 to recognize projects throughout the world that demonstrate leadership in the application of technology to improve water supplies, protect public health, and enhance the value of water.

- Orange County’s Groundwater Replenishment System Wins National Civil Engineering Award
Orange County GWRS System wins the National Civil Engineering Award. SPI under direct contract with OCWD, was the lead membrane process design engineer responsible for selection of the membrane technology for the GWRS. SPI led the MF and RO pilot and demonstration testing. SPI led the MF procurement and lifecycle analysis. SPI was responsible for specification and drawings for the complete RO system including the RO train fabrication drawings.
