Pure Water Monterey GWRP

The Pure Water Monterey Groundwater Replenishment Project will recharge the Seaside groundwater basin with high quality purified water. The project can supply an estimated 3500 acre feet of water to recharge the Seaside Aquifer blending with groundwater before being extracted for all potable uses. The process consists of 5 steps, ozonation, microfiltration, reverse osmosis, oxidation with UV light and hydrogen peroxide.

SPI’s membrane technology expertise has been an integral part of the PWM team since inception. SPI has participated in every stage of this project from the piloting, to demonstration facility, detailed design of the full scale and with construction and startup services.
