SPI has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer position based in Carlsbad, California. The Project Engineer position will participate in many of the firm’s activities, including full-scale treatment facility support services, feasibility studies, pilot studies, preparation of specifications for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, construction phase services, and start-up/commissioning. Typical processes for which consulting services are provided include reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, microfiltration, ultrafiltration, membrane bioreactors, UV, concentrate treatment and other advanced processes.
The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years of experience associated with the design, construction and/or operation of water/wastewater treatment facilities. Relevant experience with membrane filtration and desalination processes is highly desired. Professional Registration in California or ability to progress toward registration is required.
Candidate must be a career-oriented and motivated individual. The ability to multi-task is critical, as this position requires constantly shifting between the needs of multiple clients. Candidates must have excellent writing skills and be highly proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively to management and clients through written and verbal methods (casual conversation as well as professional presentations).
