The Chino Basin Desalter Authority is an organization of local agencies which jointly exercises powers to own, operate and
maintain water desalting facilities (Chino I and II Desalters) in the Inland Empire area of Southern California.

SPI Role:
SPI has provided membrane performance assessment services since startup of each of the two RO desalters. SPI has assisted CDA with pilot testing to determine more effective pretreatment chemical strategies. SPI has also assisted CDA with replacement membrane specfications, as well as demonstrating alternative RO membrane products for qualification in the procurement process.
