The Carson Regional Water Recycling Facility treats Title-22 tertiary effluent from the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility through MF, RO, and Nitrification treatment processes to provide high quality recycled water to the BP-Carson refinery for boiler-feed and cooling tower applications. The facility produces 5.0 mgd of high purity RO product water and 1.0 mgd of nitrified product water.
Capacity: 5.9 mgd MF/5.0 mgd RO pretreatment
Technology: Microfiltration, Reverse Osmosis
SPI Role:
SPI was responsible for the overall treatment process design, and prepared technical procurement specifications and drawings for the MF and RO system equipment. SPI also prepared a detailed preliminary design report and other supporting documents that were integrated into a dessign-build procurement package. SPI provided support services during project design and construction and assisted with facility startup.
