Separation Processes, Inc. (SPI) has been awarded a contract as a subconsultant to Brown and Caldwell to provide design of a reverse osmosis system for the City of Camarillo’s (CA) North Pleasant Valley Desalter Project. The desalter will allow the city to treat 2,000 mg/L TDS, iron laden groundwater producing 4,500 acre-foot per year (4 mgd) of potable water. The facility will be expandable to 9,000 acre-feet per year. The treatment process will include iron removal as pretreatment to the reverse osmosis system.
